Late at night when everyone is asleep, I break out the Cracker Jacks and watch cartoons.     Hey, not exactly earth-shattering, but still something I don't even tell my closest friends.  I love Cracker Jacks.  I'm hooked on them and like beer goes with pizza, Cracker Jacks seem to go very well with cartoons.  So, there...you have it...I'm a junkie.

Decaflame,

Can't say I really watch any soaps, but I do realize this must've been a terribly embarrassing admission for you.

Every glass I drink out of must be spotless.......I grab it.....analyze it in the light.....Look inside.....blow inside really hard just in case there are some dust particles....If I am not yet satisfied I will wash it myself.....

Not only that...but if I have a glass of coke or anything else it MUST only have 2 ice cubes......1 melts quickly, and 3 makes it all watery...2=perfect.

I push away Love. I ran from a past but it followed. I both Love and hate all mankind. I regret even at age forty seven, the loss of my innocence. I regret the loss of my father though I hated him I wish he could have seen my four children. I'm lazy yet work hard. I smile right up till I blow my top which is less frequently than it once was. I'm convinced I'll never know peace. Your turn.

Dopey_Dope,
I'm drinking my water at your house with two perfect ice cubes.

Jennifer,
I don't believe a word of it.

Sandra,
Not saying a word here.

JLR,
Sugar and stewed tomatoes on your mac and cheese?  Got an extra one?

RSWells,
You sound very human to me.  I think we have all pushed away love, hated and loved mankind, regret the loss of innocence, etc.  I'm sorry to hear about not only the loss of your father, but that your relationship with him was a strained one.  I can understand that.  My father is also gone and it wasn't until his own life neared the end that he and I really began getting to know one another.  I wish you well.  As for peace, I'm still looking for that.  If you find it, please point me in the right direction, okay?

Alwye,
Hey, I've done that.    They're good raw, aren't they?

Michael, I am scared of tornados, never been in one, but every huge thunderstorm we have, I watch the sky in panic
Sea, I love Sylvia Browne, she is brilliant
RSWells, I'm looking for peace too, and not so sure of the outcome.
Ok since I gave away my worst ones first, heres something less terrible. (?) I love having a day at home to do nothing but play on the computer, never even get out of my jammies, And if I could, I would swim naked in the pacific. Hum...

I'm absolutely obsessive and VAIN about my hair.

Utterly.

It's quite shocking.

I don't care about makeup, or fashion to an incredible degree.

But I have at this moment four different kinds of shampoo and conditioner heh...and conditioner is usually combed through...

I know the texture of it so intimately that I know if I am going to have a good hair or bad hair day just from washing it...

I don't use hair products like hair spray or anything because they are too unnatural...I've never dyed my hair...

I am so VAIN it's embarrassing...but I can admit it here because none of you can SEEEEEEEEEEE MMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE heheheehehehe...

I have two that I am willing to share.  One is strange and the other is just something no one knows, yet.

I drink my coffee with some sugar and black cherry koolaid mixed in.   Mmmm...black cherry coffee.  I stumbled on to this by accident.  I decided to make coffee one morning and after I had poured myself a cup I realized I was out of creamer and milk.  What was I to do.  Then I spotted the koolaid and thought, "hey, why not?".  Now if I make coffee I will have it no other way if it can be helped.  Is that strange or what?

The other is the way to my heart.  Well it is rather simple.  A couple of daisies and some white chocolate and I will just melt.  Hasn't been done yet but maybe, one day...

You guys and girls are just GREAT!    Doesn't it feel good getting your little secrets (and big ones) out in the open?   I do have to tell you though that I am a bit worried about Kamla.  (only teasing with you, sweetie)    Okay, now for me again.  Hmmm... what should I reveal?  I sew.  Yes, Michael Auguste sews and hems his family's clothes.  I am also the cook.  My wife never learned how to cook.  What else?  Listen up, Kamla...I wash my hair EVERY night.  There, I said it.  Whew...hey, that was a hard one.  One more...this one is like pulling teeth, but here goes...I talk to our cat and call her "Daddy's Little Baby."  Now, I am seriously embarrassed.  It's DEFINITELY your turn now!

Ok secrets... let's see.

I'm hate storms.. I jump and fuss when it thunders.  I'm totally and completely paranoid about tornados, more than I have to reason to be.

I hate the dark. My room is never completely dark.. my stero acts as my nightlight.

Ummmmm.. what else.  I have a TOTAL phobia of bugs! Seriously. A lady bug.. fire flies... all of them.  My friends laugh at me because I completely freak out if I even see a fire fly near me let alone land on me.  When I was a kid.. me and my cousins would go out and catch fire flies.. I would run around with a jar.. and after I would catch two I would stop because I was afraid that they would fly out and land on me LOL.

I suppose I could have just said that my secret is that I'm a wuss

Talking to your cat is too cute....I have two big black labs and OMG are they spoiled! We talk to them and treat them like two more of our kids. They each have such an amazing personality. I love my dogs......sometimes I wash my hair twice a day.....love raw potatoes.....HATE spiders, some other bugs are ok, but spiders crunch when you kill them, and that makes me gag......and shudder.....

I am a yard work junkie.....I will work till my hands are bleeding, I always forget to grab gloves.....I have two acres and I want them to look "like a park" ( ya right) maybe in about ten years or so.....we only have a kabillion trees, so there are always leaves to rake, year round

ok, confession over

Too many secrets,

I drink almost black tea, less than a teaspoon of milk, and one sugar.

If there is a weighing scales in a bathroom
I will weigh myself. I think it comes from the fact that I used to be overweight as a child, now I am thin.

I love chocolate chip cookies in milk.

I form habits, routines like walking the same routes every day. silly things.

I buy poetry books, and only read parts of them. I can't relate to some poetry, too complex for my brain.

I play air guitar to Clash and Manics songs

I have hairy legs

Oh and i use kethcup with almost every meal, bet that Sven.

I have become a terrible speller in recent years.

I also talk to my cat.  He wakes me up when my alarm fails to.  I also ask him if he has been a good boy and if he says he has I let him outside.  Oh yea I also tell him that I love him.

Another secret is that when I am on the phone, I pace.  I mean I really pace.   you can actually tell where I talk on the phone at.

And here is one more.  I am strange.  There I said it.

other secrets, humm....

I take a clean spoon out of the drawer to dip my coffee flavor AND coffee cream into my cup, then I hold the coffee pot HIGH over the cup, then pour, to "automatically stir" the dry stuff.  I do not use the spoon, as I abhor wet spoons going back into the creamer....

which drives my spouse nuts....

I stand outside to watch the storms come in....

I won't pick on you.  I have a small stuffed animal named, "Treeguy" that I would make talk to entertain my son when he was little.  The problem is, Treeguy still talks.  He's very spoiled and insisted that I adopt him as a second son.  Yes, I'm quite crazy.    But you know what?  I like the little character.

This is fun Auguste! I love hearing other people's "secrets"; it brings out the individuality in them and makes them more REAL... makes them stand out from the crowd (plus I'm real nosy   lol)
Ok...my secret? Well, those who know me will tell you that I LOVE music.... I always have something playing wherever I am, whether it's radio, tape, CD or even MTV. And while I freely admit to liking all types of music, I lean towards rock and alternative. The secret? I like to listen to the Carpenters, John Denver, Barry Manilow and Neil Diamond and know the words to most of their songs. (hangs head in shame! lol) I can't help it; my parents always had music playing in our house and that's what they listened to. AAAAHHHHH!!!!!
     - cartoons are awesome! My kids have gotten me hooked on Dexter's Lab and the Powerpuff Girls. The old Bugs Bunny toons are classic!
     - Cracker Jacks are too sweet for me but I like digging for the prizes..even if they do "suck" these days. lol *sigh*.. I miss the happy mornings I spent as a child digging in cereal boxes for prizes too.
     - candy corn is good but Oprah I can only tolerate in small doses. Occasionally, I'll turn on Springer just to see whose sister is sleeping with her brother and his one armed gay friend.
     - Decaflame, is it The Bold and The Beautiful?
     - Ketchup on Mac-n-Cheese? ewwwwww! lol   You and my brother would get along great.
     - I don't count ice cubes but I won't fill a glass higher than a third of the way with ice
     - raw potatoes? ewwwww again! lol
     - I love storms! They are very erotic
     - I'm afraid of hairy spiders!
     - a pink Gremlin? Damn, those must have been some good drugs you were taking SEA! lol
     - my fave candy is Sno-Caps
     - frozen beans!? what is it with you people and raw food? lmao!
-RSWells, I long for peace of mind and I'm very scared of love though it is my fondest dream to find it.
     - swimming naked is fun
     - I'm just glad I have hair lol. I love hair products that make your hair smell really good though!
     - coffee and koolaid? hmmm..ya know, you may be on to something there!
     - professional wrestling? isn't that an oxymoron? lol
     - I talk to my dog (cats don't listen lol)
     - I'm very scared of wasps!
     - I avoid yard work at all costs and try to find some hapless sucker to do it for me. (SEA, I'll pay you $20 to mow my yard lol)
     - I have a thing for the number 7
     - Temptress, I just want to watch you eat a popsicle! heh heh
     - I will not only pick food up off the floor but I will even wash it off if it appears dirty! lol Hey dirt adds flavor and makes things crunchy, OK?
     - I have a stuffed animal (a small bear named Viper) that HAS to be in my car when I am driving. He sits on my dash. he is my "protection system" (thus the name Viper lol). He is one of the few gifts I got from my wife.
Ok, I have rambled on long enough.... someone else's turn....

You are all to funny! ~chuckles~

I watch Oprah.. I love Phil.. and I even yell back at the tv.. my neighbors have to think I'm insane.

I love putting potato chips on my ham and cheese sandwiches.  I make the sandwich, then add lay a layer of potato chips, put on the top piece of bread, and squash it down.

When I eat pizza, I eat all the toppings first.. pull off most of the cheese, eat the doughy part.. then eat the cheese.

Yes I am weird

I unfortunately am not allowed to have pets at this apt.. but I am dog sitting right now. And I talk to the dog ( a simply adorable lil black toy poodle )like he was a human. He just sits there and rolls on his back with his feet in the air so I scratch his tummy.  He doesn't care what I complain about, as long as I keep scratchin.

If I drop food on the floor, I do pick it up and eat it. I know I know... ewwwwww.

Ummm... I also watch Jerry Springer. It is just one of those guilty pleasures.  I also watch...   those cheesy TeenNBC shows on Saturday morning.

I sing along to Vanilla Ice songs and Manilli Vanilli songs when they come on the radio.. and I actually know the words.

Ok I shared enough for now ~chuckles~

hmmm...I'm kind of a Passions chat room junkie now.  Just love hearing others read their poetry there.    You guy and girls ought to drop in.

I ate an ant once when I was a kid.  It had a bitter taste, so certainly not something I'd recommend.

I detest football and basketball.

I never took art classes.

Up until two years ago I was still catching fireflies.

I only make cornbread with diced onions cooked in.

I change my socks twice a day and often shower twice a day.

Okay, that's enough.  It's your turn.

Lay Down is one of my all time favorite songs.

When in basecamp in good ole VN I used to cover the powdered eggs with catsup, cover the catsup with salt, and cover the salt with pepper.  Only way I could eat that junk.  Thats one reason a 6'3" 205 pound 18 year old boy in great condition came back a 6'4" 183 pound 20 year old man.

The real secret is that up until a couple of years ago, I still put catsup on scrambled eggs.

Okay, small secrets. Here I go.

I eat sour gummy bears and watch Passions everyday.

I am too afraid to confront Justin about how much I love him.

I love to talk on the phone and dance in the rain/hail at the same time.

I like to sing when I mow the lawn.

I sleep w/ a teddy bear during thunderstorms. (it's my hug bear.  i have one and my best friend Zach has one and whenever we miss each other or something, we hug the bear.)

I like to trick people into going out of their house when it's hailing outside. (I've done this to Justin quite a few times.  It makes him scream!  It's funny! That's prob. why he doesn't talk to me during hail storms anymore)

I watch Jenny Jones, Sally Jesse Raphael, MTV's Direct Effect, Montel, and Passions every single day.

I run from love too.

Someone once taught me that it doesn't matter what other people think of you as long as you like yourself.  That's what I live by.

Oh yeah, and....

White Wolf, I pace when I'm on the phone too.  Then I go over to the window, peak through the blinds, and pace some more. I'm paranoid.

I talk to plants because I don't have any pets.

I wash my hair every nite w/ juicy green apple shampoo.

And I eat potatoe chips with ranch salad dressing.

Now, and since 1979, I want to be Jennie Logan or Elsie McKenna..Time travelers.

Michael, have you ever listened to Neil belt out a song? I must be the worlds most unpatriotic person (ducking), but when he sings Coming to America, I could almost stand up and salute.

Ok, my secrets:
I must have at least one foot hanging out from under the covers when I sleep at night.  I usually sleep with both feet hanging off the bed because I like to scoot down so my arms can be stretched above my head (my husband thinks this is weird).  I color coordinate my shower/hair products.  Currently, my body wash, shampoo, conditioner and pouf are all purple.  I hate wearing shoes. I put hot sauce on almost everything. I will order a diet coke with super sized fries. I freeze when it's 70 degrees outside.

And the worst thing that I always got flack over.  I hated Gilligan's Island! Oh, and I used to cut up all my sweat shirts and recreate the "Maniac scene" in Flashdance. And I wore leggings okay! I hate ketchup, I eat mustard on my fries and potatoes. Confessed.

This is a great thread

My secrets:

I don't handle rejection very well, I tend to blame myself for everything.

I'm terrified of women (see above)

I hate spiders. I won't even eat crab meat because crabs look too much like spiders. Nothing has a right to have that many legs. lol!

oh secrets.......
I am think which are suitable to share..
ok an embrassing one, for some reason I have this fantasy about being in a rock band. I often jump around to songs and play air guitar. I want concerts and read interviews and wish that could be me, because I know if i had my ideal band we would be a lot more interesting than all the rubbish out there.
Here is the sad part I can't sing or play an instrument.

Other secrets I love cold milk and chocolate chip cookies.

I usually unwind on weekends watching films with a beer or two on my own, yep, I watch  films while drinking. Usually films with good plots. THough Hollywood is lacking in decent script writers lately.
I saw planet of the apes recently, ok film...watchable but it lacked. God this was a Tim Burton film, and it was only watchable.

This is such a neat thread. What a neat way to get to know a little about you all.

Oh Citizenx, I am just picturing you jumping around and playing air guitar. I put on old tunes from the 80's at full blast and dance around my kitchen. I love Tim Burton, but I saw Planet of the Apes first time round and not in any hurry to see it again, even if it is Tim who's done it.

My secrets are so many but I'll share just a few in the interest of not taking up too much space

No one in my life knows I write poetry.

I love butter so much I sometimes eat it straight off the knife. I know that's disgusting not to mention artery clogging. I thought I was the only one who does this, but I was out with some friends today, and it turns out one of them does the same thing. We're gonna start a website "Ode to Butter" and see if we can find others like ourselves

Often while driving, I blast my tunes (usually 80's cause I'm stuck in that decade musically) like a teenager and sing, dance and drum the steering wheel like a mad woman. Don't give a damn what the other drivers are thinking.

I think I'm an old soul here for the last time on earth (I'm Pisces-end of the zodiak)

At heart I'm a loner. Everyone thinks I'm very sociable, and I am, but at heart I'm a loner

There. Those are my secrets. I look forward to seeing more on this thread

Ok, this thread cannot be escaped, it is magnetized onto my keyboard.
Tracey, there are a few songs I sing at the top of my non talented singing voice when they come on the radio in the car (I'm a Believer, I will Survive..yeah I'm old..)
I'm drinking wine while I type this  LOL

1) I'm afraid of spiders

2) I cried when Old Yeller died.

3) I am bitterly jealous of those that are happily coupled (If you read what I write, no big secret)

My secrets...are that I've a secret box... with lots of secrets...LOL

okay my secrets is that I'm not the most honest person though I'm open. And though I'm open, I'm shy. I don't speak a word in classes. And though I appeared to be smart, sometimes I'm very stupid and ignorance. Mmm...and if you ask my opinion about self, it would be far different from what you think I am. LOL...your turn.

Sven ...I love ketchup on my macaroni and cheese too. *grin*

I also have miracle whip with french fries.

My big one is...I want love, I write about love, I dream about love but I am very afraid to love and be loved.....I am not sure I can handle the pain of it again.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

I sabotage success. I despise authority. I weep alone at the conclusion of particularly poignant films. I visit a woman in prison at least twice a month and write her constantly though I suspect it will end badly. I'm forty eight with the walking notion that I could still instantaneously kick much younger butt at a moments notice. I occasionaly buy a six pack of decent beer (pilsner urquell eg.) a loaf of party rye bread, a white onion, dark mustard and limburgher cheese. It's delicious and assures me much privacy. (I came back to remind you of the pepper)

How very interesting, RSWells. I hope things work out for you but you seem to think they will not so therefore my heart goes out to you. When you said about pepper it made me laugh because I put pepper on my macaroni.

Now let me see.......I am 46 (no big secret there) I absolutely love chips and chocolate together. I don't eat much of it but I love it...and the chocolate has to be milk chocolate.
mmmm I love to read and learn and that has a tendency to drive men off. I love to discuss life. I can be way too passionate for a man to handle....to the point where they complain they have the headache   oooooops now I have gotten way too personal. Next.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

I've been known to sing loudly in the car to every single song I know.  I try to keep the windows up, but not always, so watch out!  I have always wanted to fly.  Sometimes I make decisions based solely on coincidence like numbers on a licence plate or a word on a sign or a song that comes on the radio--and I actually believe that I'm being rational!, I believed in Santa until I was about 12, and even tested his presence by writing a letter and leaving it in the bushes (sorely dissappointed), when I was little I was afraid of the Incredible Hulk, I have always been attracted to both males and females and I'm not still not sure which I should be with, I am convinced I am crazy (seriously) and last but not least, I have a tendency to clean my nose sans kleenex....okay okay sorry if I made anyone want to throw up.  But hey, thats me.

Go ahead, push your luck; find out how much love the world can hold

I find immense comfort in a tiny (we're talking about 15cm... round abouts 6 inches for those of you who don't speak English!!) BLUE stuffed dog called "Possum Pie". He lies next to my computer, on my bedside table, in my bag... wherever I happen to be. In fact, he's whispering his secrets to me right now...

My singing voice is so bad, that when I sing in the shower, I just mouth the words, because I can't stand the sound of my own voice. But in my mind, I'm Karen Carpender on stage. (tape playing in the background of course. Otherwise I might skip a verse)
Pretty dumb, huh?
