You know, someone asked me the other night what my “one wish” would be. I don’t recall my exact answer then, but it was probably something flip, smart alecky. Right now, I’d take that wish and put it to a use that feels really important right now. I’d use it to understand what makes people act as they do. I’d use it to figure out what causes someone to do something which you wouldn’t have guessed would happen in a million years... out of the blue, with no prior indication it was going to happen. I don’t know why things work this way, because I don’t really get that wish. But it’s times like these, on nights of fitful sleep that I really, really wish I did. |

Well here is something that I thought of wishing this morning... maybe one day, I will finish the set of three wishes and post it in the forums... -------- O Pied Piper! How I beg you to return To charm the beasts those plague our lives. Take with you, These repulsive gnats of poverty and pain These poisonous fleas of illness and sorrow. We waging a war forever For an unknown tomorrow Of hollow glory and shallow fame. Our children seem to have Grown up before they have grown Whilst our elders are growing helpless O Pied Piper! How I wish upon you to return To lead these rats down the streets And drown them in the sea. Sometimes we expect too much or too little from someone. We're human and we don't have the ability to read minds (well the rest of the world doesn't but we read each others don't we Chris). I understand without the words being spoken. Smile and go on. |
