What are some of the things that you would need to be happy?

For me, it would be plenty of notebooks and pens (and a muse to provide inspriation), to be more prolific in my writing, copies of my favorite poems, and a radio that played my favorite songs. I'd also like to have a lot of flowers and someone to share my feelings with.

Typical huh???

Well, anyway, what would you like?

I would like a cabin in the woods, far away from everyone. With a cable internet connection so I could still surf the internet. Enough food to live on: fresh veggies and fruit. A rocking chair on the front porch. A hammock in the back between two trees. A rippling brook to flow gently in the background. A deer or two to remind me of the wonders of nature. And at the end of the day, someone to sit down with and talk to. To read poetry with..either mine, his or someone else's. And of course the sound of sweet silence at night.

Not much..but it's what would make me happy.

To make me happy, hmmmmm, well as far as physical stuff...a beautiful cozy home, not ostentatious or presumptuous, but loving, warm, and alive. I'd like to have all my favourite stuff there, my old treasures from gramma, the agate collection from my sons, a funny key, a huge acorn etc (I actually have always had a bowl of weird stuff like that...all kept out in plain view for people to pick up and wonder over!)
I'd love to live somewhere beautiful, with flowers and a garden and a beautiful fountain. Have a fat black tabby cat named Darjeeling (I do too LOL) and a lazy yellow dog. Uhmmm I want to be adored by those I adore....my sons, and my soul mate. I long to be able to paint, and to play music on a piano...yet so far all I can do is be artistic in a poetical fashion. I long for life to be simple and safe, not as complicated as it keeps getting!
In reality I guess it takes alot to make me truly happy, but it's not so much to ask..

Me Happy?  Almost sounds like an oxymoron...

All I would need to make me happy would be for my children and my wife to have what they need and want to make there lives easy and pleasant.  To be able to pop over to the store and buy a pair of shoes, or rent a video when they want - without having to worry if it is in the budget or not...

A decent house to live in, reliable transportation, food in the cupboards, clothes on thier back, and no one calling or knocking at the door because of lapsed bills...

That's all I need to make me happy.

For me, happiness would be a simple, comfortable life with the woman I love and a ickle babby girl to look up into my eyes and say "Daddy!" and make me go all squishy feeling

I would just have to have someone to love with all my heart who actually loves me as much as I love him!

I'm with PDV on this one. It sounds like heaven to me.

The Perfect World? Hahah!

That’s easy, all I require is solemn promise that people around me stop dying, especial the ones I can’t live without…well I guess I can, since most of them are already dead…

PdV, you spoiled the scene by including that cable internet connection.  Why take the world with you if your seeking ultimate serenity?
Of course, the silence of the night would be interrupted by the sounds of .............
(guess)(hehe)
The things I would need to be happy wouldn't be things!  And the best part is that they're all free!

All I need to make me happy in life are the simple joys

1) pen and paper to write poetry, short stories, diary entries (I could not survive if I was unable to express myself)

2) A cd player/radio to listen to my favourite music (I live for music)

3) being with my soulmate who would love me forever, and to have children of my own

Take care,
