Is it better to go through a blissful blindness, or to suffer the pain of knowing the truth?

There are some things childeren should not know
Some things childeren should not see
Things they shouldn't have to go through;
Things that would make them worry.

Don't let them loose their innocence
They can still see the world through blind eyes
What a gift it must be;
Not to realize.

sweetchild, you should post this in Open 7 or in the Corner Pub where it'll get more traffic. Thought provoking poem.

All in all, I'd rather know the truth, no matter how painful it is. It's better to be hurt by the truth than to believe in something that isn't real. When you live your life under a cloud of deception, you are hurt over and over again with each and every lie. The truth may hurt, but it only hurts once.
