Do you guys ever feel like really bored or uninspired? I feel like that now. I am in the Passionate Forums reading some lovely poetry and I just feel so bad cos I want to respond so I do but my responses are not up to what they should be for the quality of what I am responding to. Know what I mean? I'm sorry guys...  . Can't we do something really exciting in these forums? Don't get me wrong, I love this place and all of the people...I'm not complaining. I just want to do something exciting here to cheer me up!! Anyway, I guess I should go drown my sorrows in some poetry. I bet I can't write anything decent though...how can I feeling like this? Do you guys think my poetry is worth posting in these forums? Y'all write so beautifully, I guess this is an inferiority complex. Passions is the only place I feel that I really belong. You guys have been so wonderful....no one said anything horrible about my poetry. Anyway, I'll go read some of your poetry...such talent and beautiful writing is sure to cheer me up.Thanks for listening.... Hi Lizzie! I often feel just that same way. Don't worry about the 'quality' of your response. Just write from your heart, you won't go wrong and every response is appreciated. I too wish I were more creative in my replies but I'm just not. But I know my replies do encourage the writer so that's the most important thing, I think. Yes, your poetry is worth posting here. I have enjoyed every one that I have read. So cheer up and write some more!!  Denise |

ESP, i have read your poetry and your responses and both are good. I agree that there is some incredible poetry written in Passions and i am in awe of the talent of people like Marge, Michael, Hoot, Nan, PoetdV,dsnyder, Marilyn, and others. These people are very supportive and encouraging that it inspires me to improve my C- level poetry grades to at least a B. When i want to have fun, i just start using more humor in my responses. Sometimes i will e-mail poets to make sure they understand my sense of humor (always positive i hope) Some of the moderators like PoetdeVine really encourage expression and opinion. This is nice. I like these discussion forums because you can just throw out an opinion on something, and maybe someone reads it. Well, i'm rambling, so i will get on my low horse and get goin. Hello Lizzie! I haven't had a chance to read your poetry, but I have read your prose work, and your story "I fell in love....I have the bruises to prove it." was an excellent moving story. And I love your responses. Few people take the time to move around there, and you do. And I thank you much for reply to my own story. I assure you, each and every reply is well appreciated. You've made an impact with me, and I'm sure you've made one with others. I've felt this way too, but the feeling will pass. I feel this very same way. you are not alone... I get this feeling that is totally unreal when someone comments on my poem , like I feel I'm not worthy , after all , I've read some really excallent poems here and mine to me just don't seem to meassure up but the responses I recieve encourage me to write , this is truly a wonderful place, and I think that as long as we write with our hearts, there is no way we can go wrong )Mystical being which makes ink flow Surround me in your incandescent glow Fill my brain with thoughts and rhyme As I try to capture but a moment in time ~Shan~ |

Lizzie, Don't worry, be happy! I know, I know, easier said than done. I just got over bad writer's block. I know what you mean when you feel like you can't write anything sincere. It passes though, so thank goodness right? Joy |
