No one cares. I don't know why I write. All I ask is...... Well I know it may be too much to ask. And some of you are most likely not to even hearing me. Is anyone listening? Okay here goes. Tell me what you thing of my writing. You wont hurt my feelings. I make an effort to read all most all the posts. That's not easly. Be honest. Maybe I'll just go away. But don't count on it. Am just looking for input like the rest of you. |

merlynh, Sorry to read your feeling left out. I am not sure what forum you are posting in, I usually hang out in Open forum 3, and have not noticed you. Lot's of times I read something, and then need to compose my thoughts before I respond. Then as with typical happenings in life I sometimes fail to get back to what I read, and respond. I guess that's why I often go to the buried pages, and start responding to them, cause usually there the ones I've read before, but failed to comment at the moment. I hope you do not go away for I'm sure you have a wonderful talent to share with us all, just be patient, and enjoy reading the wonderful passion people put in their work here, and I will keep my eye out for your work. |

merlynh, I've read your work and I truly enjoy it and appreciate it. The one and only sure way to be noticed around here is to dive into the deep end and comment, comment, comment... Let others know how you feel about their work. Comment some more, and then comment again. People will notice you, they'll appreciate that you're noticing them, and they'll comment in return. You registered with Passions on September 26th and have posted just 22 times. That may seem like a lot, but when we have over 1300 registered members, it's pretty easy to get lost in the shuffle. Do hang around - and do post more. Just be more visible by commenting, so that people know who you are - You'll see an immediate difference.......  |

Dear, Nan has it so on the nose. This is definitely not an "immediate gratification" site. And, everyone has to take a bit of time to get use to someone else's style of poetry. If you'll look into Nan's profile, or mine, or anyone else's, you will see the number of posts they've made. Chances are, 85 to 90 percent of it is in comments, for I know I've not written over 1000 poems, and yet, I've posted comments by the hundreds. So, give us some time, give us some more of your work, and you will eventually wind up being read more and more by others. Good luck. |

merlynh? who's that? just kidding, my friend! I have to say that I couldn't have said it better than Nan. That's the way it is, there's just so many people. Instead of just reading and reading and reading, read and comment comment comment! Then, when you post something, your name will be remembered and people will read your work and comment. You are a very astute fiction/story/prose writer and you have a lot of talent. Please post more in the prose forum and respond to the others in the prose section. PLUS!! Guess what? There's a NEW forum called "Fiction Workshop". Take a tip from me and go over there and read the thread that Michael started called, "Is this for real?" There's a bunch of wild and crazy guys and gals over there writing a storyline together that's right up your alley. You ARE 'Merlyn, the Magician and Wizard Apprentice" aren't you? Those NUTS over there are looking for the GREAT WIZARD, and they may want to talk to YOU! You're SURE to get noticed over there! Join in, my friend.
