My hip hop hip wasn't hipping anymore
You know how much that hipping I adore
Around Florida's poole, at a late music night
I hip hopped along, while smiling bright

Four years later, the hip hop went down
I barely could drag my leg through town
The doctor told me: "Hey Dutchie dear,
No hip hopping in future for you I fear"

You have to replace it when time is ripe
Meanwhile no hip hopping of this type
I got some meds that dragged me along
And I could feel Doc wasn't quite wrong

Authumn came and I made up my mind
This was the time for a new hip to find
I went to hospital, lay down my head
And did all the things the nurses said

Early morn, sun wasn't even there
They took me and put me in medical care
I slept the dreams of innocence sleep
While they discussed if my bone was to keep

When I woke up I still got them all
Around my bone head a shining bright ball
Pain was bearable after med drip went down
I just couldn't wait to hip hop through town

I have to be patient, it'll take some weeks
Of exercising my leg, till Doc again speaks
I'm hip hopping around in a different way
Wish I could find that pool again some day

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

TitiaDearestTitia~
The pool in Florida
awaits your return
when that hip is healed
and you've money to burn~

Come on down and I guarantee
Bill will play a lively song for thee
We'll hop and we'll bop all over the place
with your exotic new hip, firmly in place~

HEY !
I see they didn't remove your sense of humor~

You keep on doing what the doc says to do
there's plenty of dancing waiting for you~

Yep, humor is intact.

And, your timing is pretty much on form,
too, so they didn't remove your tum-tum-te-tum-tum-tum.

WooHoo!

Heal fast, sweetheart!

Hey,Dutchie....that pool is here and waiting! One image I will never forget is my dutchie dancing along the edge of the pool in the dark, a glass of her favorite beverage in hand swaying like a baton leading the orchestra of the music being danced to.

You will break in those new hips in no time,  I'm sure, and the music will play once more.

Get well, Dutchie.

Dear Friend
Glad you are able to laugh at life.
Got a brilliant idea
How about we collaborate on a new children's book called "Hip on Pip"
Dr Seuss would flip!

Hope you can climb tree houses real soon
Love you
Liz

Marge dearest friend, I'll hip hop on Bill's music any time.

Karilea, nobody's gonna steal my humor, though the tum-tum-te-tum could be improved

Balladeer, my sweet friend, you hang on to that image and maybe one day it will turn into reality again

Iliana, thanks for the hugs, I can use them.

Sweet Elizabeth, wouldn't that be something if we could let Seuss flip??? Memories of your tree house roam my mind almost daily. Such a sweet woman you are.

Neeraja, thanks for all the best wishes.

Maureen, you've got plenty of energy my friend, I've seen it and loved it. I have great memories of our little talks in the pool.

Titia, it looks like you'll be hip hopping around that pool again as soon as you get an opportunity. A tree house and a pool, some music and booze, and not to forget... a Balladeer at your feet! Who could ask for more?

I'm glad that hip is taken care of and healing.
Be well.
