Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

I hear hushed conversations

“This is so terrible.”
“What can a person do?”
“It can happen anywhere.”

I see sad faces
I feel the anguish.

And I cry for the children.

Yes.  I cry for them, too, yet, in the back of my head, I praise them with a mixture of tears and joy.  Our children have had to develop much wisdom and strength.  In many ways, they could be our teachers...  They are amazing.

It is a tragedy that innocent lives have been lost!

Thank you for your reflective poem, aziza. I appreciate your words.
