Ignore Alien Orders

Turned it over
And on the back
Was to Papa with Love
In faded black

More than mush
In the bottom of a bowl
More than mush
To a well trained soul

Lights were dim
And the clues were found
Hanging on the wall
Sleeping in the ground

The distant hum
Of a stereo sound
Cracking in two
As the rain came down

Cherishing memories of your Papa...at least, that is what I got from this series of snapshots.

I like the ethereal sound of this -- like bits of the fullness that is there, just enough that the mind can build the melody around what the ear can almost, almost, hear. That's poetry, m'friend.....

The last verse is the best part, its

how shall we say it,

one of those moments that, you dare not concentrate on the rain, or sun and you listen to these echoes like you drink and eat shadows of energy and bam!

It hits you as you play the song, the double kick back, moment of awakening before you slumber back into coma.

I mean have you ever known a truly happy person, or a person fully awake, open?

I agree with you on the coffee gods line Yep, I am listening, too.

I like your work. That may not seem like such a statement, except that I look for your work to read. So, in effect, it IS a statement. I feel there is a difference between a Poet's heart, and a Poet's pen. Appreciation VS ability. You seem to have both, which is something I truly envy, being as I do have the heart.
