* I wrote this after I got out of the hospital for overdosing as a form of apology to my parents... Tell me if you think it's good enough to give to them. Thank you *

Sweaty hands
Foreign lands
Broken heart
Two worlds apart;
From who I was and who I am

Needles glisten
In bloodshot eyes
Tattooing myself with feeble lies
Wanting, wishing to take it all back
Come back to this world, fully intact
Swollen eyes
Everyone cries
The regret I feel
Won’t quickly heal
If I’d left this world
Would you forget me? I fear not,
For the love we share won’t soon be forgot

I’d never leave you so please don’t fear
We have too many more wonderful long years
To love, to laugh, to live together
Through sunny, rainy, and stormy weather
I love you more than any words could say
It’s to you who I owe every one of my days

You are the people who make me whole,
For I love you with ever ounce of my soul.
