Too Much Television

Dobie Gillis proclaimed loudly
to everyone “ I married Joan”
In Death Valley for my
Father Knows Best.
The next door neighbor Mrs. Cleaver
always would Leave It To Beaver her
son to do the chores till he decided
to take a cruise with Gilligan and Skipper
only to get stranded
on some island. The police were informed,
they called car 54 in which
the response was …Were on a neighbor dispute
between the Munsters and Addams family
over who stole Mr. Ed’s Chips he won
betting against Adam 12 at the State Fair
with Ma and Pa kettle who was visiting
George Burns and Gracie Allen on the Sunset
Strip before heading home out on Route 66.

Hi froggy!  Thank you!  I remember these gratefully for benevolence and laughter.  We could use more of it these days.  I don't watch TV much.  Everything is fraught with violence...especially the news.

I rerun reruns a lot, little one.  Thank you for the smiles in this ... and not all TV is bad...it's just a decision of which channel to watch, and when.

Unfortunately, even the news back then...held its up and downs.  Oh, for a Walter again.
