There you stand
Rooted in earth
Swayed by winds
Moved by dendrite

Hair as leaves
Skin as bark
Tendon fibres
Hardwood bone
Marrow pith
Bloody sap

In your guilt
You thought me
to be the enemy
and hid yourselves
among the trees.

There you stand
Figs and cedars
Olives and oaks
Seeing far less
than the blind man
who was healed
and upon first sight
Saw men as trees, walking.

There you sway
Between glory and guilt
Between heaven and earth
Like Absalom and Judas.

Until you die
upon the tree
as Jesus died
in selfless love
and rise again
to truth.

A most powerful write Larry.
I enjoy reading you...and this is special.
Hugs~Nancy

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again..and again....

I enjoyed this and the connection we have to everything, portrayed within the words of your view....enjoy seeing the world thru your eyes.

Feet mired in clay, we still reach for those pin-prick stars that bespeak a grander reality.  You speak with the wisdom of insight...and beautifully.
