rehearsing it all again in my mind

imagining it differently  this time

testing the waters

does it hurt any less?

the jagged edge of the sword

twisted

and she watched as you

pulled it out

tears were never enough

though we all saw plenty

and through it all

I, remaining.....

completely in the dark

find comfort in the

stillness of the aftermath....
