you were barefoot formal there at the window looking at eyes not for sale ones but stolen glances and I was grateful too for you not calling the law or making a new one so you could use your gun or bare hands on my throat to pull me closer than faces I imagined you in high heels with oil on your skin so your legs would not whisper about us holding minds with finger ends entwined you imagined me elsewhere too kneading your garden places watering them as forests with a worshiper's perspire before you spoke in tongues about the waking of a stranger ____________ daark |

I remember a formal moment before dusk became dawn and spaghetti straps found their way home again but that was long ago in '69 and some memories are better freeze-dried... but then, some other moments still sing old songs... aha... see? you got me to slip in that Calishine once again...and thank you for that! |
