   I cannot go with you
   for there are those
   who hold me here
   in melting memories
   that clutch at my today
   keeping me from
   the joy of tomorrow
   within your embrace

               Please,
                  I beg you,
     please
  do not shed the tears
  for me to drown in
  for I am not worthy
  of the saline of you
               I cannot go
   I can  not go
   though my heart
   treads the waters
            of goodbye
  do not ask my heart
  to explain
               the why~

~Soft poetic sighs of a parting~

Crackling fissures borne onto my heart from what you have written. What has touched you so, as to bring these painful words pouring forth onto paper that usually radiates joy?

Heartrendering.

A winning write!!! You've dipped your quill
in a wounded, mourning heart and came up with a winner. Kudos! Love and peace, Maggie ((~.~))

SweetSandra~
Sometimes I simply catch the thoughts of others ... this one came in a three-minute rush ... overriding my own ink ... crying to be poured~
I don't often 'understand' the 'why' of it ... but I usually just *sigh* and let it happen~

Someone will let me know who they belong to~

Loper~
Oh, you just say the nicest things~
The 'words' write themselves in this one~

MaggieDear~
Thank you always for believing in my ink~

*sigh*  May I borrow your muse Marge?
I haven't seen mine since Halloween.
This is a heart ache of a spill.
Love you.

Gee, I remember when that used to happen to me.  The poem would be running through my mind and I'd have to get to a pen to write it down.  It's been a long time since...maybe it's because I seldom run anymore. LOL

Your  poem is precious.

(...shyly raising his hand....)

Here. Over here. It's mine.

But you've used it so well, I couldn't possibly ask you to give it back....you keep this batch, it's well-bestowed and I've got more, much more.

M'dear Marge, this is most assuredly your ink. However, you are using a different colour this time!

~ and your inks rival all the colours in a rainbow!

Margie girl as always you write what you feel, and beautifully done.
I'll send you some pretty pics of us all at the renewal when I get them, and I looked lovely, so did the others, but then i am the pretty one aren't I. Awfully vain creature aren't I?
Take care always
Love and warm stuff

I can only say a humble thank you for the replies to this spill of ink~

Too many have written me to let me know that their hearts are stained with the word-cries of this one~

Marge, I can read this both ways. I see in the back of my mind someone telling that dark angel you wrote of, that it is not time to take her/him because there are those still in need of them here, and more to do before they go..... best to you, martyjo
