It is but merely perception
of a soul touched
by the immeasurable inhumanities
of humankind

that has been beaten
by the daily bump and grind

of life,

yet, refusing to sink into
those lower levels of endless greed
although still fulfilling a need
to bleed
pain and emotions
from coursing veins,

over spilling with graciousness
and gifts so wanting
to be given
while living
in the face of always
being taken
but oh so very often
having been mistaken
for harboring a
beast within;

when the beast is naught
but disguise
for deeper, insightful eyes
holding more than just
mere fantasies
of enraptured moments
of beauty and sighs,

unheard ...

Spirited with
delightful temptation
of seductions that roll the soul
upon softest petals, bed of rose

scented in
hearts desire
burn of ache

flame of fire

to live above,
and beyond
the madness
driven
what lies beneath
remaining hidden
underlying,
the heart beats

waiting to breathe

within the coming
season of change
where chains no longer
bind the mind

until set free...

remembering
how to fly.

Thank you Sir Sey. I wrote this in observation of perceptions  through a friends words.  Thanks, and hugs.

Chains don't bind your mind
Well done!

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.
