It was you that brought the summer breeze
Through a worn wooden door covered by
Black screen and swatted flies.  A door that
Moaned and shrieked,  squawked and squeaked.

I remember too well that door,  as my hand
Brushed your own and your eyes looked
Tauntingly over our shoulders while your
perfume Beckoned and swirled behind me as the
Latch gently clicked and a hidden sigh
Missed a delicate ear.

And as the hours fell into the hourglass,  saying
Adieu…it was you that brought the chill of
Night into a room filled with dancing flickers
And quiet snickers….and oh,  how I remember
Your eyes as they gently closed and Autumn
Leaves fell carelessly onto a field of white
Cotton as the rise and fall of our breath
Froze our eyes as we awaited the silenced
fall of newborn snows…

My favorite kind of imagery, left your eyes, and drifted on this page for me to read.

You bring the blush to my cheeks Barry.
And the WS beckoned and swirled behind you?
Beautiful piece of writing...more please?

You must surely have a romantic heart to pour such perfection from your pen. *S*
