This morning when sleepy eyes opened
and first glance was caught,
you were not there
to add the usual charm
of enlightenment;

heavy was the fog
covering that special place

where sun and moon collide

like lovers walking hand in hand
under new day skies

but in the distance
I saw shimmering glimpses
of you arriving in your
chariots of gold
with smile flashing bright

illuminating,

today.
