I didn't go back
No, not this time
I didn't care if he begged,
Pleaded, or cried
Cause he was all wrong for me
But my foolish heart wouldn't listen
This time my mind forced
That old crazy heart to pay attention.

Yes, he'd shower me with pretty words
Sweet nothings & the like
But he was nowhere to be found
At those big moments in my life
I will no longer be used!!!!!!!!!!!
Everything is crystal clear
I am NOT confused.
I no longer need him here.

I've slammed the door to my affections
I've put a lock on my time
Cause this time, love, I'm leaving you behind.

(angel hugs) Oh Jacqueline, I certainly hope you didn't have to really go through that sort of harrowing experience, as I know ever too many who found themselves emotionally bounded by that sort of fear, and I truly pray anyone victimized by that sort of experience can find the courage to resist and move on from there!
