Cocaine

From smoking pot, he went to pills,
That’s when I saw his lack of will.

From his pills he went to snorting cocaine,
Looking for something to ease his pain.

Soon that took to long so he went to the vein,
As I sat and watched him go slowly insane.

We had nothing left for it had been sold,
Even our wedding rings made of cheap gold.

But now he is gone there will be no more pain,
For he rendered himself too much cocaine.

Becky,
A sad poem but written well. Your mind is your kingdom. Rule it well.

Sad ending because of a tragic mistake. Thank you for sharing, Becky.

I can only offer you my condolences.

Cocaine is a vile drug that robs its user of their capacity to feel pleasure, and then they lose the capacity to feel empathy and love as a result.

It's a very long road back, and most aren't even inclined to try.

My sympathies.

As was said before a sad poem and one I can relate to.

I know someone I would like to show this too if I thought it would do any good.

"The world won't end in darkness, it'll end in family fun
With Coca Cola clouds behind a Big Mac sun."
