I've said I was a dreamer
I live where shadows dwell.
I chase the thing that is not there
(If caught, it would not tell?)

In misty morning fog,
I don't have to see,
that other side, where people rave
about reality!

Through moon-less sultry nights.
I hardly feel their stare
...the ones who've passed, here, long ago...
awaiting for me there.

This world has been no friend of mine
...a silent screaming moan.
small comfort that I  know they wait
for me to come back home.

There is grief in these verses mixed with anger and maybe futility?  I can only bring my own interpretation to the words and a sense of compassion for these feelings.

An enjoyable read. Welcome to Pips!
And may those ghosts keep that quill quivering.

I certainly feel this way once in a while
I don't know why people say life is short,
It is the longest thing we will ever do.
Ponder on this. I really find your poetry to be a fav. of mine
