Father’s Day

Freedom sung by earths’ harvested crops unfold
Legendary for time’s sake, and sung so bold

Six thousand years ago His plan became known
A permanent history, which he granted be told

Every person, and each hair on each head,
Named and marked for his permanence-stead

Tears He must have shed throughout our difficult days
Collected in pools of salted water, where His fishes play

His compassion is true, His love, for me and you.
He gives us love and kindness, from a heart, which is true.

God bless our heavenly Father, this Father’s Day
As we bend our knee, and we bow our head to pray.

All we need remember, words spoken to fulfill what is true:
“Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

Blessings on us all he gives willingly, and so free,
All that he asks from us, is that we believe

So have faith and believe He truly is
Our Father in heaven, and we, truly His…

JL~
This one literally caught me 'unaware' of the beauty that I would find when I entered~
Most likely it is the BEST I will read with the approach of Father's Day~

Excellent, sir ... excellent~

JL, I was caught off guard by the title and it was nice I always love it when the theme is different than what the title brings to mind. A lovely poem, a tender reminder.
