Metaphoric Blood

12 September 2005

When veins are cut
and blood does run
Away in a darkness
thoughts to be not liked by some

While in metaphor
a life line severed to suit
That commitment of
a failure to reboot

Not to death
yet to live
Not with her
he unable to give

Wrists not slit
neither to sadness become
This element before a
reunion to savour her in one

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
we have fellowship one with another, and the blood
of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
1 John 1: 7 KJV
