Calendar Cupcake By: Noah Eaton 7/3/05 Fanessa Filofax was a social butterfly, hiking up the corporate ladder, she grew a reputation for her unprecedented effiencey, a well-trusted telecommunications networker, with her super multitasking powers, she had the ability to dodge every scheduling conflict effortlessly, she was second to none and then some, she became an archetype of productivity... Then one morning, the fourth-quarter got the best of her, realizing the Christmas shopping season, was too much for even Fanessa alone to handle, one word forbidden to her philosophy was treason, so she got her DNA spliced with a Canon IR6000, to be able to duplicate herself at a dime a copy, yes, it seemed the experiment was a success, seemed there’d be productivity beyond where the eyes can see. But then, in an ironic, simple twist of fate, the office life made her stomach sick, left her fazed, now she’s using her god-given abilities for not work, but play, she’s rechristened herself as Calendar Cupcake! Fanessa and her phalanx of go-go girls are in full swing, seeking vegeance on summer’s breathing spells and impassivity. Saving our vacation from her archnemesis, Tedium Ho-Hum, and his posse of pencil-pushing platoons and Blue Funk Hunks, Calendar Cupcake will juice up every summer party! . . . (Ya, how’s the Portland Rose Festival? . . (Yah, it’s, like, amazing, anyway, ya, how’s the US Open Sandcastle Competition, down in San Diego?) . . (Wait, hang tight, I’ve got Ms. Cupcake on the other line, ya, hello?) . . (Ya, just CC callin’ to tell you, I’m having a blast at the Ozark Empire fair!) . . (Ya, so we still up, for Miami’s Reggae Festival, girls?) . . (Sure, ya, and how about the SPAM Town USA festival, oh, and the Miss Crustacean Hermit-Crab Beauty Contest, next weekend in Ocean City!) . . (Ya, I’m up for that, girls!) . . (OK, gotta go, girls, this lil’ glitter-bug’s off to Tony Waag’s Tap City, for the New York City Tap Festival!) . . (Ya, you go, girl!) . . .
