A Page Within the Tide

Inside wave and the still air of birds
write
of wondrous things
of amber skies
as morning singing

catches a blue birds
voice on breeze
as it whispers
through the trees.

Do you know the red tide
that makes the ocean other?
Filled and plankton washed
it is like my eyes

Write of oceans
vast and blue
while mesmerized
by sapphire hues
that gently lap
upon the shore,
tell a tale
of ancient lure.

I know this poem
that lies inside
waiting to be drawn
from daylights dew

Past the dredge of morning fog
see clear this day
somewhere inside
lean toward the waiting

A slip of thought
that turns ones mind
as tide rolls in
then slowly subsides

floating, flowing
senses touching

If you listen
there is always a song
in the still air of birds
or in the reflection made
again and again within the changing

Wrap your wings around it
then notice a guide
caught in swirling eddy of air
a page within the tide

Be still like the pond
with vision awaiting the fish
or the density of worm,
even a ripple explains
how seeing is inside the wave
never let down
always  wet.

indeed fortunate
to blend a moment...

I am captured in your words this morning, Martie, especially these lines:

Past the dredge of morning fog
see clear this day
somewhere inside
lean toward the waiting

Sometimes the silence is so noisy, and I have an intense wish for stillness without weight

Wishing you much joy, Dear Heart!
