Thursday at 6:10 a.m. I will take off into the sky, content to forget about you and I won't even say goodbye. It's quite obvious to me now we have nothing left to say, if I make it through the layover at Charlotte-Douglas, I'll be okay. Things change, tables turn, life goes on through tears, it's time I should be going, no longer captive to my fears. My bags are packed by the door, the ticket long ago bought, there's no turning back now, no entertaining second thought. And when you realize I'm gone you'll say you never understood, that's okay; you see, sometimes no goodbye is just as good. |
