Succulent Feast

Under the night light
Spins the spider oh her web
Silken threads greedy

~*~

Any Friday will do
when sharing a meal with
good friends

They, the givers of
a fragrant yellow rose
from Texans

Making night sounds
ripple warm by laughter

Quietly sharing burdens
that shiver our timbers

Allowing the lean on me
to take hold

Knowing trivial from
emotional,
consequential pain

[No, we all did what we could…]

Did we tell you, we look
forward to these moments?

Let alone the ones
yet to come?

~*~

Silken threads greedy
Spins the spider oh her web
Under the night light
One bug pounces another
Morning hides the evidence

" It matters not this distance now  " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love
~*~

A succulent feast to read, as well!

The roses in Ohio are beautiful this year.  I bet the Texan yellow are gorgeous.

Sissie...The give and take of the treasure of friendship makes an evening like this wonderful, to experience and read!

“Succulent Feast” of your words fills the emptiness of time and space.
“Quietly sharing burdens that shiver our timbers”

An artist you are, indeed!

“Under the night light
One bug pounces another
Morning hides the evidence”

Now I’m going to go buy a night light so I can witness this event…

the glare of bright morning light
covers much of the magic
that lies wrapped tight
in the arms of midnight
