Your constructive comments are gifts to me.

Mountains And Valleys

High towering clouds stood tall in array
As I beheld the sky. Each clearly seen
And seemed majestically like a queen
Amid the afternoon's late matinee!
High soaring peaks, displayed that special day
Mid the clouds, seemed to call me by its scene
To pray: "Dear Lord, Who dwells midst the routine
Of men and things, on mountain peaks I'll stay!"

As I spied far peaks, in my heart I knew
Those mountain valleys counted even more
Than mountain peaks which number just a few.

A lesson I learned, I dare not ignore
And neither you. Each mountain peak's fair view
Exists entirely by each valley's floor!

BROTHER JOHN
For every high there is a low
For every low there is a high
And I'm in the middle of the riddle.

Dear Skyshine,

I thank you for your time and comments.  Yes, I like the sonnet form. It's a yoke that fits me.   BJ
