right now i see you
in my eyes the steel color
of the glass of dreams

shattered once scolded
and beaten and torn it
was you who stayed and
stayed on.

for with you life is greater
then it has ever been at least
now i have someone to look forward
to spending the rest of my life
with.

Fool me once shame on you.....Fool me twice shame on me.....

I love this! The way the lines are broken up is at first strange but, on a second read, really adds to the tone of the poem.
