Listen to the ones you love
               clearly
for as long as you can
whether they are walking away from you
               or
               whether they are returning

               (after J. Rumi)

Thanks, Kacy.

Rumi is hard not to like.
I can hope only to imitate, and poorly.

If any one deserves to be called "Saintly" (and I rarely use the word), this man must certainly qualify.

M,

Here is a quote that you might find applicable:

"Load the ship and set out. No one knows for certain whether the vessel will sink or reach the harbor. Cautious people say, "I'll do nothing until I can be sure". Merchants know better. If you do nothing, you lose. Don't be one of those merchants who won't risk the ocean!"

Words to just tuck into the pocket of our memory.  Simple, but the lesson resounds.

Well done indeed !

One of my favorite quotes...

"By day I praised you
and never knew it.
By night I stayed with you
and never knew it.
I always thought that
I was me--but no,
I was you
and never knew it." --- Rumi

A great reminder you've penned here and a bit of a challenge I think for listening is often neglected though so very vital and so very desired in the strengthening, unity, and intimacy of relationship.

I enjoyed the wisdom expressed here.

Thanks for sharing.
