Lumpy Oatmeal makes me Crazy!

I can't stand the heat
but can't get out of the fire
flames lick at my mind,
consume my thoughts
sear my senses
hot, molten emotions
flow thru veins of ice
creating channels of creativity
where once there was joy.
I can't stand the heat
but can't get out of the fire
the inferno rages within
so deep
dreams ignite to ash and
fly from my grasp
but remain held in my brain
to smolder and flare again.
