tempter
shape shifter
he twirls her round
the dance floor
feverish blossom
in white dress

close now
his eyes grab bayou water
send its reflection to her
as she’s never seen it before
sorghum thick

driving beat
his thighs pump la-la
her shoulders swing white
to the fiddle and frottoir

lights string the dance floor
encircling a study of heat
something takes leave of her

he slips juju
in her palm
ah bebe
he whispers

leaves her lying in the bramble bush
heart pounding to the beat
of the faded jingle
white dress faded

Thank you Kacy.
The charcoal man is
so scandalous.
He's taken on a life
of his own.

Smile.

You brought me a different world.  Does that make sense?  You took me elsewhere and I saw a culture I am not usually part of and ... I saw ...

driving beat
his thighs pump la-la

and I fell in love with your poem.

Thank you aziza.
I'm glad you saw and
heard it. I love
Zydeco music and
I love the
charcoal man.

A wonderful read dear Lady, aziza relied as I felt, in a different world, seductive, primative in nature seeking the pleasure of the moment. Great write and scene painting.

Sincerely
Rick

Thank you so much Rick.
I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Oh Stranger, you are a scandal.
You like mudbugs?

Oops! Hee hee… LeeJ.
Caught me. Thank you.

Can’t seem to get him out
of my mind, Karilea.
Thank you.

WindWalker, thank you so much.

"driving beat
his thighs pump la-la"

still caught me, held me and made me watch listen and learn.  Loving this.
