Happenstance immediately brought to my attention
all those little things that you forgot to mention
with no remorse, I could bid you adieu
I'll never have to cry again, over you.

Now I know that I'm on a mission
to make these dreams come to fruition...
and it may take me a little while
but in the end, I'll be the one smiling…

You really believed that I wouldn't see
all these things that you've presented to be
as truth

are only falsities

I believed, Oh I believed you shined like a star
and now I don't even know who you are
lacking courage, hide you can
it's so much easier to be a boy, than a man.

Your face no longer do I recognize
the person within, you try to disguise.
Once again fate has knocked on your door
you spoke in tongue, now reap the reward

You've no one to blame but yourself, this is true
the one your facade has hurt the most, is you...

seek the flame within yourself
and let your soul be cleansed by
the fire of love.  Axel Ekenstierna

You are stronger than you realize Donna.
A most excellent write.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

There is nothing more sad than a person who is afraid to be authentic.  It spreads a lot of confusion...
Great write written from your gentle spirit in stating that the false self must be in a lot of pain.

An excellent account of strength. The first and last stanzas are outstanding.
