I was born not to live or die but to be
I am the two-toed wanderer
I am the solder without a home for a-fighting for
I am the fool to love
I am the child of silence
I am the sibling of anger and the cousin of fools
I am the burning of leaves
I am the sunshine’s terror
I am the pins and needles
I am the seers’ father
I am the maker of questions
I am the soul of rebellion and the tear of the mother
I am the flickers and flashings of fire

I see in visions of time going by forgetting the past
I see with the eye of the young man
I see no cause and see no resolution
I see the woman silhouetted in the breeze calling me
I see a breaking of the horizon
I see a world made a graveyard
I see the silence of children
I see the terror of the all Seeing Eye
I see roads paved in gold without cars
I see loves lost in mere moments of time
I see no more for the people who squander
I see a hard rains a-gonna fall

I hear the stomping of goliaths
I hear chiming bells that ring in weddings for no bride or groom
I hear the whispers that come when I’m away from my mind
I hear some laughter from the people of the future
I hear some crying from the people of the past
I hear no voices of decisions or choices
I hear carnival sounds that sound clearer as I get nearer
I hear children at play singing and yelling no cares in the world
I hear the sounds of the dividing lines
I hear tell of a land without reason without heaven or hell
I hear freedom ringing there
I hear birds of a feather singing songs in harsh weather

I want nothing more than to please and be pleased
I want for a shaking and a waking
I want no life without love
I want soon suns sinking to soon see sunrise
I want some fool to tell me what is true
I want great children of a deadly age to dictate life and make no change
I want to see into the future and see skies
I want my children to have it better than me
I want my children to be stronger than me
I want my children to be better than me
I want my children to want nothing
I want to want nothing

I am the two-toed wanderer

The first thought
that comes to mind
is the "I am" quest of poems
that was a challenge
some time back...and this would have fit
very, very well...

as for a title for this now?

"Private Veracity"

I love to play with titles

"MINDLESS GAMES"

"THE MYSTERY OF THE WANDERER"

"ENDLESS THOUGHTS"

"INTERROGATIONS OF THE MIND"

"TRAPPED IN OPINIONS"

"CIRCLE OF JUDGEMENTS"

Just a few ideas

Thanks Sunshine, Bonnie j, and Midnitesun. I think I will use one of bonnie’s that is called “endless thoughts” because ive been told I think too much, plus it feels like the mood of the poem in my mind, it’s a perfect title.

Thank you Bonnie J

Cool! Glad you liked the title. Anytime you need a title I'll give it a try. Like I said "Love to play with titles."

I liked this poem alot and thought It had the potential to be a song-poem.  It was a little long, but kept my attention and  I read the entire thing.  Much Enjoyed
