This Forward Once Down

Lessons,
that face turns away
from listening,
cold without cover
it leaks  it leaks
over the edges,
making soft un-yield with misunderstanding

Silence is a hard ball
and you can’t question it
without it rolling away
and it is motions way
to gather
this word that really meant sing
yet is played without voice

where then the truth?

Does it lay down with time
and just wait?

It would seem that soon lifting happens
and takes a day or two to adjust the chords,
for the melody just is
and sweet this forward

I'm sure there is only one lesson
in here, but the layers
of musical forward make the reader
look for more.

A very deep and introspective
poem, m'dear...

Martie,

A bit of a mind twister here. I like the musical references that you make in your poem and, yes, though forward always does happen, it flows much easier, for me anyway, when life is a bit more musical or in tune.

God bless.

Martie writes magic.
Always.
Sending hugs your way sweet lady.

For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart..
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul.

These lines suit my mood and play
at the corners of my mind Martie.

Striking.

A truer statement couldn’t be
but what you have written here!

Nice one!!

they say silence is golden, and I have learned this is true....
the silence speaks volumns in each and every issue...

and the music played is the violin of life
which comes from within, can you imagine, just once, hearing everyone's music being played at one time...., do you think it would harmonize...homoginize...hehehe

Martie, your a wonder...a poet in her own right...the thoughts you send to others is not only a gift, but something about you that just is...

Thank you girl

Martie, I love the sunshine and shadow corners of the wander through your brilliant mind in this poem and your other poetry.  This one is so indicative of your wonderfully analytical mind and sunshine spirit - you are an inspiration to me, and I know also to many, many others.

Silence takes many forms and a hard ball is surely one of them. Enjoyed Martie! :-)

I never asked you before but can you "splain" this one to me?     I don't hear anything but the wind, and see clouds over the ocean waves that build, and know this is wrong. Right?

Hi Sharon....this one came about from the "silent treatment".  It was given to me from someone I love and it didn't feel very good at all.  If you try to talk to the person who is acting in this way, they pull away further...and so waiting it out is the best way, or was for me.  See?

Well you are absolutely never that obvious - this time you were - and fooled me.  You are right, when someone gives you the silent treatment, it has to be their "stuff" not yours.  No matter how it hurts, best to ignore them, and let them get over it or stew in their own juice.   Thanks for the explanation.  I sure have a vivid imagination don't I?  LOL.

I know this feeling well (don't we all?)...it's much like having to play a guitar that someone is deliberately putting out of tune while you try to finger the chords.

At one of the tiny home/inns where we stayed in Hawaii last week, one guy was doing that to his wife, because he hadn't wanted to come to Hawaii and it had been her turn to choose their vacation trip....

A selfish game for him to play, and it tainted the harmony of what could have been a very pleasant breakfast overlooking the waves, for everyone there.

You are always a pleasure to read, Martie.  There's a lot to ponder in this one.  Hugs, Ken
