Its funny how you push my buttons
Because somehow it never fails
The same selfish attitude
A web of dishonest tales.

"I do everything in this household"
"You don't appreciate me enough"
But honey, you would think again
If the going sure got tough.

Those dishes covered in grease
The grim on the kitchen floor
didn't wash them selves last night
While you sat in your chair to snore.

Remember that smell of death and rot
Hovering from the trash?
Its happy self didn't walk outside..
And jump towards the can in a flash.

Those pretzels you dropped
Onto the floor all around
The carpet didn't eat them
They didn't soak into the ground...

The dust didn't disappear
The bed didn't make itself
The dog didn't take herself for a walk
The cereal didn't hop onto the shelf.

You may be the bread winner
The king of his domain
But your not my king, mister
I'm not here to play your game.

So when you're off you high horse
And come down here and see
Maybe you should spend some time
Trying to appreciate me.

Time to kick some booty.

this is just too funny
I had to come back to read it again to make myself feel not-so-alone in my quest to make it through one more day with my roommie

he's just like a teenager when he's home for the two weeks he's not offshore...he sits in front of the TV watching movies all day and night, he plays on the computer, he eats constantly and leaves mess everywhere, never lifting a finger to clean anything...good thing I get two weeks away from him to revive my sanity, enjoy a clean house, and have some peace and quiet

oh and I forgot to mention his annoying little habit of putting his dirty clothes piece by piece into the washer and for whatever reason not starting it up to wash

so when I go to wash my clothes, low and behold...I can't
