Fierce, The Fire

Words burn into me
As the hard wood of life set ablaze
Some primordial forest, ancient mosaic art
Flames that sculpt to melt in sweet resin

I look to the mountains
The cool of summit snows to come
Carrying finality in the cradle of my heart
Dreams extinguish in steam

For passion is the flame
Working aglow from below to the red of above
Devouring fear in recycled cobalt blue
Charring the past so too

Release a richer now

But no, I cannot put the fire out
The essence of myself; no doubt
To share explosively each feeling born in me
Yet whom could I turn to in fever’s arms?

If only lit a tender bit beyond the coals
A magical regenerative condition of the soul
To love until consumed in eyes ablaze
And never to relent that worshiped gaze

So fierce, the driving light that robes with vibrancy
All the burn exposed inside of me
And if you cannot hold a love too hot
Just breath upon the embers time has not

wonderful and brilliant lines
loved the entire poem, but this jumped out at me...

Words burn into me
As the hard wood of life set ablaze
Some primordial forest, ancient mosaic art
Flames that sculpt to melt in sweet resin

right until the end, vivid details placed me right there...thank you
