God on Paper

18 December 2005

In eyes of tears
her words wept
That innocence so real
From a heartbeat of love
time stood still in her mercy
Breathless to her appeal

Like God on paper
this imprint of golden sun
Each finger tip to caress
every rose petal to back peal
Her lips spoken to speak
her in undoing nothing to harm
solid gold - neither a rock to steel

Like cards to colour in
given in hope to endure
These words toward heaven
in an angel of saintly deal
Treasure of dust swept away
to sweat of sleepless nights to seal

“Having many things to write unto you, I would not
write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you,
and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.”
2 John 1: 12 KJV

What else can I say...u r great...I dont understand scripture poems that well, but your abrasive yet free words help to set a mood that is extremely hard to reach in any writing, especially poems, because of flow.
Great job...Elevation is the Key

Return the favor on Swear to God

disregard the scripture quote and only relate that to the poem, if so inclined, once the poem is read. A footnote is a footnote and nothing more.

The way your words touched me were to bring tears to my eyes for the words that have not been spoken from my soul in a long time....My eyes and thoughts turn upward once more drawn to a love I don't fully understand....Thank you for the thoughts and feelings your words drew from me...strange how tonight I needed to hear such words even if they are not ment the way I have taken them...*big hugs*
