Dawn's shell-pink fingers
Reach through my tightly-closed blinds ~
Unlock a new day.

*~*~*

Spent waves, rushing back
To the sea...drags pebbles, sand,
From under my feet.

*~*~*

The waves rise and fall
Sing like my blood in the conch
He holds to his ear.

*~*~*

stimulating all the senses, this delicate inspirational song, took me there, and I felt the tug of the tide on my feet, as millions of white particles were dragged over them, out to sea....

Spent waves, rushing back
To the sea...drags pebbles, sand,
From under my feet.

The waves rise and fall
Sing like my blood in the conch
He holds to his ear.

amazing...enjoyed this so much

This is a wonderful trilogy of words and images Tinker. I can hear the waves and feel the soft breezes from the lake.  Very beautiful...

Exquisite imagery.  Gosh, I have been away for so long.  Proof positive with this poem I need to come home to Passions more often.

I picked up the shell and listened to the ocean after reading your poem.  It was lovely.

Deeply inspiring words, dear Nancy!

Leaves me with a desire to sit in silence at the shore and simply watch ...

You find the neatest words to describe your thoughts. Hugs, Ken
