Tears in your eyes,
blinking away mistakes
you've made.
Droplets falling from your cheeks.
The memory of past.
A tissue wipes away the fears
of knowing you're not there
To help her.
She's holding on
to nothingness :
grasping for air - but falling.
She can't hold on.
Too far gone.
You know it's over now,
but the pain's still there ;
more than ever.
You left her : but she can't
hold on
not on her own.
She dares not to scream
and wake her surroundings
Everywhere reflections of memory -
and letting go.
She didn't hold on.
