we were want to write our summer wine in the book of ages
pages a labyrinth of imbedded fragile words mated there
velum in vora a night city with a beat of camisole movements

i would laugh so often for you branded me a thief impenitent
told me I not only had the audacity to steal your heart
but helped myself as well behind your eyes

the river so placid, calm and beguiling aching to be stirred
would we not put our ripple ribbons from here to neverending?
coaxing an audience with the lady if only to solve this riddle?

i tell you these fingers are bruited to be kindling of kind
kindred to run their rampant across your phoenix in the night
and eagle of the day cushioned by the sky in your spread soar

and so as the umbrage of each pages inked inclines to our recline
we find forty voices massaging our eye to eye in orotund pronouncements
brama sole, umbria and the seven houses hold court in dreams stilled

my blood is loquacious ma reine from the fever of your laughter
that regales my animal hackles subdue with claws sheathed in homage
come, the spirit river calls as it flows to eden where keys bloom

night glides over my thoughts as they sound the scale in contemplation
my hands caressed those mated words with profound longing prophesighing
bless your heart in your sleeveless day sweetheart

till then…………………

I like the voice of this, Sir...
it is deep and warm,
and very close
to the
ear.
