She felt red rose’s petals fall
— So silent, not a single sigh —
And in her soul a doleful call,
A crystal stain upon her eye.

Oh, why the tear -  he’d cold declare -
For it is not your love to mourn;
So do not weep in false despair
And others’ foreign love forlorn.

Oh, but Lord, just how to tell —
Those petals broken off her heart
And drifted down an endless well —
Now she and him forever part.

Lovin' your work CG.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.
