Tightly Wound Recluse

Possibly salty crackers,
Saltine, Stonewheat,
Not graham crackers.
But crunchy

Crumbs shake off
Freedom from cracker
The rats (secret police)
No freedom crumbs

Candlelit shakedown
Old man crunches
Crumbs would fall
But he’s too bothered.

Momma says, "Life... is like a box full of chocolates, you never know when you're gonna get one with a nut in it".
