I have put a vessals heart at stake for my own benefit my guilt has not yet kicked in I lay there in the night thinking of down the road afraid of what others might say about me and you My pride is geting the best of me and the stares of strangers i do not know pushing my feelings away from you When you give me all you know reaching in your pockets emptying them for me And i go behind your back and do the things that arent meant to be i cannot walk down this road of lies any longer Tonight i lay it all out im yours and only yours for you deserve my faithfulness my trust in you is pure And that i give back to you indeed i will fulfill your needs to the best of my ability Til our time is over with being as one i shall stand by you and only you but when the night is over i will be done I do not need shine or wealth, just a pen and some paper for my health |
