torquemada eyes
and that clock, that cursed clock
each tick a gavel fall,
a sentence passed

i know my sins, deadheart
but what of yours?

Ohhh this is awesome . .
there is more to this one, I feel it

Reminds me of Blake, Poe and Kesey sitting around waiting for Bukowski to show up.

And I just looked up torquemada . . .

Very appropriate sentiments, indeed.

Whew.. I'm lost. I'm so enamored by your poetry, it's always so artfully done, so indescribable. I hope you know that.

You sent me running for the dictionary with "torquemada". My mind and body needed the exercise.  And you did make me think as I sit and wail, "Whatever happened to love and acceptance."  "Live and let live."  In these days of escalating tensions and paranoia, it's difficult to think of anything intelligent to say.

Well said, Aenimal.

Sure you could, you fit right in with that lot, Raph. Man, you'd be sitting there.
