                    Breakable

I am a sculpture of glass.
If someone was not there to help
me through my day,I could shatter.
           Yet no one truly realizes
how truly breakable my emotions are.
My condition is worn out and fragile.
Trying to hide yet still being seen
by many. The glass like emotion
bearing down, no room to even think.
Just wait and see if I get
           dropped and shattered to pieces.
The glass looks smooth but can leave
a bad scar if picked up after being
           shattered. The glass needs to
be handled with care. As if it were a
little baby. It takes a deliberate hit,
only a tap would not leave a scar.
The glass is fragile yet strong.
It can last for many years
with the proper care and attention.
           Just as I have had.
Humans will last for hundreds of years
If they get the proper care and attention.

martina, this is a good analogy.  Life is fragile and you say that well.
