Awash with colours and sounds My eyes lost amongst all the worlds’ creations From the turtle to the canyon My sense are being overwhelmed I am what you would call a life tourist The Great Lakes and the sphinx will still be When I am not The beauty that is in creation is one that can not be measured My minds spinning like a globe in a third grade classroom My odometer has turned over several times Yet there is so much more for my gaze to fixate upon My spirit has soared with the eagles My heart has plunged to the depths with the dolphin I have lived my life like the roller coaster it is meant to be At times my heart was in my throat Others I was screaming Even when it comes time to step off this ride Given a second chance I would ride it all over again From Berlin to Sydney my footprints are there Like most tourists I began life thinking this is not what the brochure showed me Yet once that disappointment subsided My trip became that of pure fantasy For if you look closely life is just like the movies Yet the Nay Sayers will try and bring you down Though life is too short for this The best way to live is To think that you forgot your camera And the only way too make it up is with memories Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
