Her name was Midnight
From her car
She was needle sharp

I was the boy
Called that for life
And she makes marks on my life

Never ever knew midnight
Didn't sleep that easy
And she purr'ed as she slept

She was Midnight Blue
Only name
Only thing

Strange that Midnight was as different as I was
Neither from anything
Changed to order

In the end
I walked away with Midnight
Knowing her more than anything

Dave~
There is a 'something' that draws me to read this one again and again ... a cadence that my poetic mind is 'hearing'~

I just know that it likes me VERY MUCH~

LOL
and my pen name being midnitesun
sometimes, I am called midnite
and purrring through all the lines above,
I have loved a black kitty
whose claws left a mark on my heart

poetry has that effect on me, too
