Dragon Wings If only I had dragon wings I hover o’er the sight of things I’d binge the sail of muse in flight And breathe more fire into light I’d beach the mundane of each day Into a pile and fly away I’d use the magic of the clouds The lightening and the thunders loud I’d find the rainbows pot of gold The start and finish of unfold I’d search the primal forest green Savor the beauty of the scene I’d fly with all the butterflies And dance with them in azure skies Watch colors of the sun below And silver shadows moon light glow There’d be no end to lovely things If only I had dragon wings This is a rewrite |

But now I can dance with butterflies without artificial wings... Seriously--this verse is beautiful--you already have your wings, proved by how your words fly up from the poem, and land so softly on the readers eye. ______ ___ice ><> |
