An Irishman named Toerag drove like mad to City Hall.
He had to go to court, a date he couldn't miss at all.
He'd had a good night at the pub but went a little far
And ended up by dancing naked up and down the bar.

When he arrived at City Hall he screamed out, "Oh, my Lord!"
Not one spot was available to park his rusty Ford!
The parking lot was all filled up and he would have to wait
But, if he did, the judge would fine the lad for coming late!

"Dear Lord", his eyes raised to the skies, "your servant needs a hand."
"If I don't find a parking space the judge will have me canned."
"If you'll provide a spot I swear that I will treat me wife
With love, respect and dignity for each day of her life."

"No blasphemies shall leave me mouth and no off-color quips.
No drop of Irish whiskey, Lord, shall ever touch me lips.
I'll go to church each Sunday and get on me knees and pray.
All this I'll do if you'll just send a parking space me way."

Just then a parking spot appeared there right before his eyes.
He drove in quickly, got out, and then looked up at the skies.
His face was smiling so bright he looked like an Irish elf.
He said, "Forget it, Lord. It seems I found one here meself!!!!"

you've no idea the laugh I needed....this is Great....

poor toerag....

And so it those we live with
and should know who elude us
But we can still love them
we can love completely
without complete understanding

Somebody's full of the old Irish this morning--just look at those baby blues!     And you know, it seems like everytime a great parking space appears, so does a parking space ...

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

LOL! Toerag better be careful. I really don't think he want to get in trouble with the Lord. Balladeer, my friend, I have always enjoyed reading what you write.
